Chew it up!

My baby no longer eats baby food and has now moved on to real solid food, steamed to a soft texture, but "solid" nonetheless. So, with this...Remi has learned to "chew it up" and when I ask her to do this, she does the motion with her mouth and so seriosly waits for praise from us, which is usually followed by a lot of smiles, giggles and clapping, of course :) It's so cute...I just had to share.

My Sweet Valentine!

Remi's first Valentine's Day was so sweet! She's just growing into quite the little lady. We're beginning to think we've got quite the dramatic one on our hands, but overall a super happy baby!

She's on the move, but not by crawling. She wiggles and rolls to get to her final destination. Baby gates are in our near future, along with a full-on babyproofing of Chateau Partin. Regardless, it's becoming quite difficult to get pics of our little mover these days...unless in the highchair as I mentioned in my last post.

We hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day and as a friend said yesterday...I hope you all loved and were loved on the sweetest day of the year! :)

Clap, Clap, Clap Your Hands!!!

After weeks of saying "YEAH!" and clapping with hopes of teaching Remi Roo to follow my lead...she's finally got it! YEAH!!!! Here's a little video so you can get the full affect...
Remi's SEVENTH tooth has arrived! Yes, my baby has a mouth full of teeth. It's crazy! Here's a shot of the newest addition.

Remi's little personality is really shining through these days and she is such a HAPPY baby!!! I'm so happy to have this time at home with her. On another note, I realized that most of the pics I post are of her eating...having eaten...or in her highchair. I promise you, I do let her out of the highchair...sometimes ;)

Have a great week everyone!!

Chicago or Bust!

This past weekend Remi and I took the train to Chicago to visit my cousin Jennie and her kids, Dalton and Nick.

We arrived in Chitown Thursday afternoon and the train ride to Chicago was perfect! Remi did GREAT!!! The train wasn't full so we had plenty of room to play and move around in our seats. Remi was such a perfect little traveler and everyone on the train kept stopping to talk to her because she was being so good. On the way from Chicago back home on Sunday, Remi didn't have as much fun. The train was FULL...oversold, actually. So we were stuffed into one seat together and Remi was quite antsy. Since she's a catnapper, she did her usual 30 minute nap and was wide awake the remainder of the ride. Overall, she did great for a 9 month old baby on a train for 6 hours! :)

We really enjoyed our visit. We ate great food, shopped in cool places, saw the city and just enjoyed being together!! Thanks, Jennie, for a wonderful time!!! :)
