1 Month Old

It's hard to believe it's been a month already since our sweet Remi arrived. She changes every day and I just love being home with her and Randy has been home all but two weeks. :)

Here are the stats and the latest and greatest:
* 8 lbs. 13 oz, 22 inches long
* She's starting to focus on things more
* Hated sponge baths, but is warming up to tub baths
* Loves her paci!!
* The bouncy chair and the swing are our saving grace
* Smiles show up every once in a while :)
* She's starting to coo and it's so cute!
* LOVES being held and snuggle tme with our little Remi girl is our favorite

Sleeping at night is our biggest challenge. We are getting her to sleep by taking her to see the sites of the neighborhood until she falls asleep...either in the stroller or in the car. We've also found that she is not a fan of the bassinet! Once asleep, she starts out most nights sleeping in her carseat IN her crib, but once she wakes up for her first feeding ends up sleeping in my arms for the rest of the night...and we snuggle in the glider in her room! This isn't getting old for me yet, as I realize these days are numbered and my baby won't be sleeping in my arms for long :( So, I'm still enjoying it...for now :)

We've had a busy month with many lunchtime visitors, celebrated Remi's BFF Audrey's 1st b'day and an impromptu visit from her Granny & D-daddy last weekend.

We would like to say WELCOME to baby Lola Grace Shea - born yesterday to our friend's Zach and Heather! We can't wait to meet your newest addition :)

Here are some photos we've taken over the past few weeks. We'll post again soon!

3 Weeks Old...Just a Swingin'!

Our baby girl is growing fast and has already surpassed her birth weight -- she's now 8 lbs. 2 oz. and the pediatrician says she's doing great. She had thrush, but it has now cleared up!! :) Thank goodness!

Each day we learn more and more about being parents. It is the hardest thing that either of us has ever done before, but also the most rewarding. There's just something about looking into those baby blues :) We're starting to learn the different meanings to her cry, but we're definitely not experts yet!

Stay tuned. We'll post another update soon!!

Me & My Dog!

I just had to share this pic! Oh so cute...

Buck got up on the bed this morning and we said "gentle"..."baby"...he then gently layed down at Remi's feet and layed his head on her tummy!

Seriously!!!!
Too cute...

I week old today!

Remi is one week old today. It's hard to believe she's ours, but we are still on cloud 9 with our baby girl.

We came home from the hospital on Wednesday and are quite happy to be home!!

Buck was really happy to see us too! So happy, we don't think he even realized his lil' sister was in tow :)

Buck meets his lil' sister for the first time!
The ride from the hospital was quite emotional for me. I was scared to be taking such precious cargo home. But, we made it...safe and sound. The first night was ROUGH! But, we also survived that adventure. There were a lot of tears shed that first night, mostly by me...but Remi did her fair share too :)

Our second night was MUCH better!!! Thanks to a little contraption called SWADDLE ME :) What an amazing "device" - I hope to see many ZZZZZZZZ's in Remi's future when using this!!!

We went to the pediatrician yesterday and she's all good - weighing in at 7 lbs. 10.5 oz. She's doing great! We did have to go back to the hospital today to test for Jaundice, but that test all came back clear and we were very pleased :) Nursing is going great and Remi is adjusting to her new home quite nicely. She HATES, absolutely HATES, getting her diaper changed. But, her dad is a champ and does a great job at soothing her and calming her once that scary ordeal is over.

Remi & Audrey finally met! I just had to post this as we plan for them to be the best of friends. Audrey wasn't real sure what Remi was, especially when she cried. It was cute!
Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers for our family! We are truly blessed and couldn't be happier.

I have to especially thank my mom and dad for all they've done this week. They are staying with us and my mom has cooked every meal, cleaned all the messes and washed all the laundry! It means A LOT to have them here!!

Because it has taken me 4 days to post this...I'll leave you with the many faces of Remi to tide you over :)
Ooooooh!

OH!!!!!

And the all too familiar..."hurry up and change my diaper!" face...
