Tiny Dancer

I'm officially a dance mom! Remi started dance this month and is enrolled in Ballet & Tap Dance. She will do 4 weeks of class and then we'll decide which she likes more to commit to September through May. Tonight she had her first ballet class and I'm not sure she liked it as much as she likes Tap. Something about stomping her feet and the noise of the shoes! :) At her first class, I took some pics of her face when she first saw her dance outfit. That look, that smile...was PRICELESS! She was so excited, as was this super proud mommy.

Another Fantastic Fourth

The day began with the Clawson parade, always fun, but it was SUPER steamy this year! Our new friends, the McIntire's joined the crew for their first ever 4th in Clawson. It was HOT, with a heat index of 101! Wowza! It felt like home to me :) We had some showers...okay, downpours to deal with, but it was a nice break from the heat. We hosted our 7th Annual (hard to believe) Fourth of July BBQ late in the day and were once again surrounded by those we love! We had a final storm before the fireworks, but it cleared up just in time for the show! Remi played hard all day, so once again fell asleep minutes before the fireworks and slept right through the show. Amazing!

All in all, a wonderful day! God bless America!
