Let the Babyproofing Begin!

That's right ladies & gents, our little Remi Roo is officially mobile. She's not a fast crawler, but she gets from point A to B on all fours. She's much better at pulling up and standing with support from furniture, mom, dad or Buck! (Poor guy is being so patient and gentle!!) She's also learned to wave, but hasn't quite caught on to when and where it's appropriate. It's just cute whenever she does it! She laughs A LOT and we are having so much fun. She gets cranky from time to time, and is quite the dramatic one at times, but mostly still a SUPER happy baby! After trying for days to capture perfect crawling and pulling up, this is what I have to share. I'll keep trying, but here's a taste of what's happening at the Partin's.

Remi Hits the Sunshine State

We took a family vacation to visit Randy's mom in Vero Beach, FL this past week and had a great time. It was unseasonably cold...the coldest it's been in that part of Florida since 1958. Lucky us! To go along with the cold weather, Remi had her first cold/allergy spell. We're still not sure what was wrong exactly, but all that matters is that she'll all better now. :)

It was sunny every day we were there, but entirely too cold and windy to enjoy the usual Florida pastimes of sun & surf. We did however, make it into the pool for 10 minutes on Tuesday and to the ocean to see the sites. Here are some pics from our trip.

Remi's new trick - sucking her big toe! Gross, yet oh so cute at the same time!!!

Our little Remi Roo has learned to pull herself up and spends most of her day standing, trying to stand or taking steps while holding our hands. We think she's going to walk instead of crawl, but only time will tell!

All bundled up to watch Grammie play bocce ball.

Chew it up!

My baby no longer eats baby food and has now moved on to real solid food, steamed to a soft texture, but "solid" nonetheless. So, with this...Remi has learned to "chew it up" and when I ask her to do this, she does the motion with her mouth and so seriosly waits for praise from us, which is usually followed by a lot of smiles, giggles and clapping, of course :) It's so cute...I just had to share.
