May Flowers

I spent the day soaking up the sun...and soaking up my sweet little girl! Remi is changing so much and I laugh at her so many times a day. Today she wanted to "help" me garden, so we did just that. We planted some flower seeds...hopefully they'll make their appearance later this summer :) She seemed to think that was pretty cool! And then, when I showed her the purpose of the watering can she received from the Easter Bunny...oh my! "more! more! more!" until I had to rescue my poor plant from being waterlogged!

Here are some sweet pics from our gardening.

Now - to brag on my sweet husband. I LOVE gardening and getting my hands in the dirt! It's very relaxing to me :) So - for Mother's Day, my hubby took this....

And made this GORGEOUS Garndening Bench for me...as a big surprise!

A friend was going to throw out the fencing. Randy is very creative and is always thinking about how he could make things that we see at top dollar places. He designed the whole thing! He stayed up late nights - some even until 2 a.m.! And after Remi and I would leave in the a.m., he would work on this masterpiece before he went to work. So sweet!

Isn't it lovely?!?!?! I have wanted one for eva!!! Every single piece was his plan...his idea...his design! I love it and can't wait to get it dirty tomorrow after our annual trip to the Flower Day festivities at Eastern Market :) YAY!!!!

Love you, Randolph! I'm the luckiest girl in the world :) MMMAH!

Oink...Baa...Cluck & Moo, Remi Roo is 2!

Friends and fam celebrated Remi Roo turning 2 with a Barnyard Bash on Saturday! No "real" animals, but some SUPER cute cupcake animals ;) thanks to Christa! {thank you!!}

The weather was not as expected, but we Michiganders hope for Summer so badly, that we braved the elements and played outside anyways! It was supposed to be 70 and sunny, instead...was 60 and cloudy :( But, we made the best of it!! The day she was born...85 and sunny! Maybe next year, right!?!

We had pizza and cupcakes, per the birthday girl's request. YUM! Activity: a super cool bounce house. After the parents agreed, we bent the "2 kids per" rule since our kiddos are still wee ones and they had even more fun. Thankfully only minor head bumps and nothing major! There were some tears, but when you put a bunch of 2-3-4 year olds together - tears are bound to happen, right!?!

Remi received tons of great gifts and now, we must make room for more in our family room. We may have to start using stuffed animals as throw pillows just to make room ;)

Thanks everyone for spending the day with us and making our little girl smile!

Our "baby" turns 2!

Oh my goodness, it's so hard to believe that my "baby" is now 2 years old! I will not lie, it doesn't seem like "just yesterday" that she was born, but the time has definitely flown by.

Here are her 2-year-old stats:
*28 lbs. 13 oz.
*34 inches tall
*She's a bit sassy these days
*FULL of energy!
*Hops when she's happy :)
*LOVES music and LOVES to dance
*Loves her BFF Audrey and constantly talks about her...and her mom, dad and baby brother, Henry! :)
*still loves books, but is getting more and more into TV - and is branching out to shows other than Dora (Wonder Pets, Bubble Guppies, Go Diego Go!, Calliou)
*Talks a ton!!! and talks in full sentences
*Counts to 10
*Has learned to open the screen doors (on her own! not good...) and likes to let Buck in/out
*Favorite food: spaghetti
*Has a serious sweet tooth! it's no wonder...I craved cake my entire pregnancy! :)
*Drinks from a cup at mealtime, but still uses a sippy cup the majority of the time

Randy and I stayed home with her today to celebrate Roo as a family, and partly to regroup before hitting the ground running again after vacation and Easter.

Remi started her day with a balloon-filled room, a cupcake followed by pancakes for breakfast, gifts. Then the day was filled with fun and playing...then our girl's favorite dinner...Speghetti and her official birthday cupcake, with two candles, of course! :)

The big party is Saturday. Looking forward to celebrating with friends at The Partin Barnyard ;)

Here are some pics from our sweet girl's special day!
