Now entering the big girl room!

Today, we transitioned Remi's nursery to a big girl room...sniff sniff! Our baby is growing up, and I just can't believe this time is here. Okay, I can belive it...but I don't want to accept it!

She loves it and said to me when we in for the "big reveal", "It's beautiful, mommy!" That statement...just melted my heart!!!

Our little Roo, she's such a little cutie thess days, and such the imagination! She's now telling US stories! She always starts off with "once upon a time...", and each story usually takes places in a forest, and ALWAYS ends with "happily ever after!..The end." It's precious. Last night, she told me a story about a rabbit in the forest, then led to baby Remi being chased by a tiger...oh my! While she was watching a replay on my phone, she says to me..."mommy, this is a scary story! this tiger is scary!" Oh, to have a childs imagination again! :)

happy campin'

We made a promise to each other this year...CAMP! We love our camper and some of our best times are spent with friends at campgrounds across the state of Michigan. So, we haven't really camped far from home...or anywhere other than exit 101 off of Northbound I-75 :) Hey...we like what we like! The point is...we've camped this year, and it's only halfway through.

Here are some pics from the past camping trips to Holly State Park and Groveland Oaks County Park. We've had a great time and can't wait to camp more.

Daddy's Little Sparkler

The 4th of July has come and gone and what a great day! The weather was warm, but beautiful. We started out the day at the Clawson 4th Parade with the Chrysler's, Nelson's, Shea's and Williams'. Then it was off to the fair, naptime and then the 6th Annual Partin July 4th BBQ. We were surrounded by family and friends and had a wonderful day. We were skeptical of Remi actually making it until the fireworks show, but she made it...and after a few minutes, gave in and fell asleep in my arms mid-boom :) When she's tired...she's tired!

We are so blessed to be able to celebrate our independence and freedom. A special thanks to all the men and women who serve or have served. You are the reason it's all possible! This year, we celebrated with our own hero, Matt Chrysler, Randy's childhood friend and a great friend of our family. Matt returned on July 1st from his 3rd deployment to the Middle East. He's home, safe & sound, and we are so happy to have him back! Welcome Home Matt, THANK YOU! for all you do.
