Santa Baby!

We finally made it to see Santa today. Remi and I wrote her list last night and practiced just what to say to Santa when he asked the questions..."Have you been good?" and "What do you want for Christmas?" She was ready!!

Bunkle the elf even left her a note last night wishing her luck on her visit to see the big guy! He brought her a special Santa purse to celebrate the occasion. "That crazy Bunkle!" has been a frequent statement from Roo this month.

When her turn to sit on his lap finally arrived, she walked right up to him like a big girl and climbed right up on his knee. She didn't stop smiling the entire time and you could tell she was A-MAZED that he was there...sitting right next to her!

Sunday, November 27

I'd like you to meet our new friend, Bunkle the elf.

We made a new friend today. He comes from The North Pole. Remi named him Bunkle. When we woke up this morning - Bunkle surprised us with a North Pole Breakfast complete with Snow balls, Santa's Special pancakes, North Pole kisses and hot chocolate with marshmallows. Remi was so excited to meet her new friend. Her biggest concern: whether or not he will be loud and wake up her babies and animals. :-) We read his story and she understands that if she touches him, he will lose his magic and won't be able to return to the North Pole every night to report to Santa of how she's been behaving. Bunkle will be with us until Christmas Eve until he returns to The North Pole. We are so excited to see how the next month unfolds, and how Bunkle enjoyes himself as our guest.

Trick or Treat...Smell My Feet...

Halloween was a fun-packed 2-day event for us this year. We started on Sunday evening with the Clawson Trick or Treat Trail at the park. Always a great event put on by our little city. By the end, Remi was falling asleep on Randy's shoulders saying, "Mommy, I'm sleepy! I wanna go home!" Then on Halloween, we had her class Halloween party at school, then off to the Zeller's for their annual festivities. Trick or Treating was very exciting this year!! Little Red Riding Hood was full of energy, moving door-to-door yelling "more houses!" after every trick or treat. She LOVED it, and we LOVED seeing her little face light up as she ran from house to house. \ Since the day she found out that she was going to be Red Riding Hood, she asked me who was going to be the Big Bad Wolf. So...I decided that I would play the part of the Big Bad Wolf, disguised as Grandma, but of course. Most people thought I was a cat, but at least Remi knew who I was :) That's all that mattered in my eyes! Happy Halloween to you all!
