Howlin' at the Great Wolf Lodge

This weekend we took a mini-vacation with our friends Cory & Daniela Scholl and their sweet daughter, Leila. We visited the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City and had a wonderful time!!

Remi LOVED it...and so did mom & dad!

The Great Wolf Lodge is known for their indoor water park, so that was our purpose. While we were in T.C. (my first time visiting!) we enjoyed the city too. It's more of a summer vacation destination, but we didn't let the freezing temps keep us from enjoying a stroll through town. We also took the kiddos to the Great Lakes Children's Museum. It was a fun diversion from the hotel for all of us.

On Sunday night, the Great Wolf Lodge mascot, Violet, delivered cookies & milk to our room before bed. The girls were sooooo excited!!!! Running all over the room with anticipation of Violet's arrival. When she finally arrived, Remi opened the door and immediately gave her a BIG hug! So sweet! The girls enjoyed their warm cookies and milk before bed...maybe not the best idea, but the visit from Violet...PRICELESS!

So, here are some pics of our mini-vacay. We've decided to make this a wintertime tradition with good friends! We can't wait until next year!

SNOW much fun!

This winter has been rather dry and boring when it comes to snofall. Remi's only been in her snow suit three times total! But when it does snow, she's quite the little snow bunny! She LOVES playing outside...ANYTIME of year! This past weekend we played outside in the bitter cold just to get her some snow time. She loved transporting the snowballs from daddy's hands to mommy's legs...she's got quite the arm!!! We went sledding and even had Buck pull her around a bit. We spent most of our time outside playing at the park. Our girl LOVES the park! She always asks to go there...even when it's really cold out.

Potty Training: CHECK!

I can now say that Remi is completely potty trained! :) WOO HOO! The whole process took about 5 months, and she did great!!

She used a training potty for a while, but in October the Potty Fairy came and took the potty away. In it's place...a note an a new book. She was thrilled and still talks about the Potty Fairy ;) Since then, it's the big girl potty only for this princess!

She's been going on the potty since August, but was wearing a pull-up at night. She's finally 100% potty trained because for the past two weeks...we are overnight PULL UP FREE! WOO HOO!
This is HUGE, exciting and not to mention cost-effective! HA!
