11 Months

Remi & "Pinky" a gift from her great grandma, Nannie.

I just can't believe how quickly the past 11 months has flown by. My baby is turning into a little girl right before my eyes. I'm so blessed to have been home with her during my job search, but realizing this week makes one year ago that I lost my job, I've stepped up the search and am really trying to focus on finding a new position. With the fact that unemployment may be ending for me April 5th, there's no time like the present :)

Back to the most important thing...Remi Roo is 11 months old! Oh my gosh, I just can't believe how much has happened over the past month. Here are the stats:
*23 lbs. 12 oz.
*31.5 inches long
*She's mobile!!! Crawling all over the place and pulling up on anything and everything. She LOVES to walk along the cabinets in the kitchen and has set her sights on the cabinet lock we installed. Every morning she inspects it to see if there's something new, or a way to get it off. She LOVES to walk when we hold her hands and she will crawl up the stairs too! She's a quick learner.
*Baby gate is installed, or as I like to refer to it...Baby Alcatraz!!! Buck isn't a huge fan, but Remi doesn't seem to be bothered by it...yet!
*She has her first official cold! :( BOO! Poor little thing is a trooper though, with mommy sucking the goopy mess out of her nose at least 10x's a day! :)
*Has decided that her morning nap is no longer part of her routine. She's napping only once per day...maybe snoozing 1-2 hours in the afternoon, if that :)
*Bedtime is slowly being pushed later, now bedding down by 8 at the latest. She made this change...not us. But, we're fine with it :)
*Is interacting more and more with her friends. It's so cute to watch her & Audrey (her BFF!) play together. As long as she doesn't bite Audrey...it's smooth sailing!
*Buck is still the best thing since sliced bread! And, he's becoming pretty fond of her too...especially since she thinks it's fun to throw food of her tray during every meal!
*LOVES the outdoors and recently had her first swing and slide :) So sweet!

There's probably more, but during today's naptime...I'm pressed for time so that's all I have to share today.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the "Spring" weather so far. For those of us in Michigan that equals beautiful one day, freezing rain the next :( Summer's a comin'! That's what I keep thinking :)

Hippity Hoppity! Remi's Bunny Photo Shoot ;)

Last week, Remi and I went with some of our friends from our Beaumont Parent Group to get Easter pics made with a real, live, bunny! Krista Smith, from Image Exposures, captured the true happiness of our sweet baby girl. These pics are AWESOME and I'm so happy we did Remi's first Easter pics with Krista!!! Stay tuned...Krista's doing Remi's 1 yr. pics too...with Buck!

The bunny's name was Cinnamon, so precious. But boy was he in for a treat when Miss Remi Roo sat down for her photo shoot! At one point, she decided to pick up poor Cinnamon by his ears...like a sack of flour! Poor lil' guy!! Let's just say Remi's used to a 97 lb. dog, not a teeny tiny bunny. :)

So, here are some of the pics. Thanks again, Krista. Not only are the pictures great...but the laughs during the photo shoot with our friends was priceless!

Let the Babyproofing Begin!

That's right ladies & gents, our little Remi Roo is officially mobile. She's not a fast crawler, but she gets from point A to B on all fours. She's much better at pulling up and standing with support from furniture, mom, dad or Buck! (Poor guy is being so patient and gentle!!) She's also learned to wave, but hasn't quite caught on to when and where it's appropriate. It's just cute whenever she does it! She laughs A LOT and we are having so much fun. She gets cranky from time to time, and is quite the dramatic one at times, but mostly still a SUPER happy baby! After trying for days to capture perfect crawling and pulling up, this is what I have to share. I'll keep trying, but here's a taste of what's happening at the Partin's.
