California and Colorado Visit C-Town

To wrap up our week off, we had family visit from California and Colorado. Randy's cousin Jennifer, her hubby Ryan, and their son Carter (14 mos) traveled from San Diego and Randy's cousin Teri from Denver all arrived on Wednesday after Labor Day. The house was packed! It's such a wonderful feeling being surrounded by family :) This was our first time meeting Carter, and their first time meeting Remi Roo. The kids had such a great time playing together! It was a perfect time to bring them together. They napped great, played great and entertained each other the entire visit! Remi learned to say "TOUCHDOWN" from the NFL junkies...and Carter, he has it down - hand motions and all! In the video below - Remi was being stubborn, but Carter showed us his moves :)
We enjoyed The Detroit Zoo, Yates Cider Mill and Heritage Farms petting zoo. Here are some pics from their visit. We even got to go out on a double date while Teri & Grandma fed, bathed and put our babies to sleep :) So nice!!! Too bad I don't have more pics of us laughing because we did A LOT of that! Such a great visit!!! On another note - you'll notice Remi's wearing beads in many pics. She has a newfound addiction to beads and would sleep with them if you would let her. She's obsessed and it's really cute!!!

Welcome to St. Clawdale Park

We wrapped up a wonderful summer with our annual trip to Evart, Mich., with our St. Clawdale Park group - the Nelson's, Evangelista's and Maes' families. (St. Clawdale Park represents each city that the members of our group reside.) The weather was a bit shocking - rainy and COLD, but the kids didn't seem to mind. Their attitudes were contagious and we all had a great time! Campfires, movie night, potluck dinner, park and the biggest change for us this year...chasing a curious 1 year old! :)
Here are some pics of the trip. As usual, the perfect way to bring Summer to a close :(

Summer Lovin'

We've had a busy, HOT, fun summer and we can't believe it's already mid-August!! We've had a lot of visitors and other things occupying our time, and haven't done a lot of camping. But this weekend we took our 2nd camping trip of the season with friends. As always, we had a wonderful time with the Nelson's, Sara and the Maes' and camped in a large group with (17 families!) with our friends the Ross family. What a great time!! We really enjoyed ourselves and meeting all of their friends! Remi, Audrey & Andre had a ball playing at the beach, taking wagon rides and playing in the sprinkler!

In other news, I have moved to a four-day work week so I can be home with Remi on Friday. I'm really loving it and hope it continues for a long time! I've been told it could be temporary, but we'll see. :)

As for our Roo, she's chaning so much every single day. She's getting SOOOO big!!! She's become quite independent and minds really well...for now! She's really into dancing and playing with Buck. What a fun age!!

Here are some pics from the weekend...
