Remi Roo is 3 Months Already!

Our little Remi Roo is changing so much every single day. Since going to formula, life is totally different :) She sleeps better...eats better...plays better! You name it...it's just better!

Here are the stats at 3 months old:
*Sleeping almost all night - 8 p.m. - 8 a.m. with one feeding usually around 4 a.m.
*Eating 6 oz. every 3-4 hours during the day
*Smiles are so adorable and quite frequent. Usually, when there's a smile...laughter is sure to follow! :)
*Baby Einstein is our newfound friend. I honestly believe it's educational, so we watch it at least once a day.
*She still loves her swing...or shall I say her naptime location! She WILL NOT nap in her crib! She prefers her carseat and it must be moving. We "go" a lot during the week.
*Not sure on weight, but Randy and I are guessing around 13-14 lbs.
*She's now wearing 3-6 month clothing, so finally...I get to dress her up a lot. Randy often tells me she's not a doll, but I can't help it! She has SOOO many adorable little outfits :)
*New favorites: Elizabeth Mitchell's - You Are My Sunshine. Remi loves this CD and I love singing it to her :) We both just smile and smile!! And, Remi loves to look at any Dr. Seuss book. She just doesn't react the same to other books...just these! I love it too...who wouldn't love reading a rhyme, from time to time ;) HE HE HE!

I'm LOVING being a stay at home mom, but the job search is fully underway! I would like to return to work by November 1st at the latest. Please pray for me in my search...it's a SUPER rough time, but God will know when I am ready. Obviously...not yet!

Last, but not least, Randy, Remi & I would like to welcome an addition to our extended family...Carter Martin Merritt. Born July 9th to Jen & Ryan, Randy's cousin. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Fun in the Sun!

This weekend we went to a friend's pool both days. We had a great weekend, so we all decided to take advantage of it. We enjoyed a lot of play time, good food and good times with good friends! :) THANKS KIM! Remi enjoyed herself too. I think she lounged more than anything. She especially LOVES her new pack-n-play - THANKS AGAIN KIM!! She did get in the pool...we had to get pics afterall. She wasn't a fan, but her daddy calmed her down and she sat on the kickboard for a few minutes. It was sweet! I love her suit! It's so baby!

Remi is now officially a formula-fed baby. Late last week, we decided to try some formula to see if we could make her belly feel any better. Well, it did! She has been on formula now for 72 hours and she is 100% happier!!!! :) She sleeps, she naps, she doesn't spit up and she smiles a lot more. I am also a happy mommy! You see, breastfeeding was no walk in the park for me. I worked hard to get the milk supply up so I could feed her, but as it turns out...it wasn't agreeing with Remi Roo. I had to give up dairy completely...which is very hard to do! I also now have some relief and help from Randy with feedings. I even slept 7 hours straight on Friday night!!!

I admit...I miss the time I spent with my baby girl during feeding time, but I know this is best for Remi. So, if Remi's happy then I'm happy! It's amazing! I didn't think it would make such a difference, but it did :)

That's the latest. Stay tuned until next time.

Family, Friends & Fireworks!

This past week my sister and her family came to visit from Alabama...all to meet little Miss Remi! We had a GREAT week and I'm so sad they're gone :( But, all fun must come to an end sometime, I guess. Remi's cousins, Chan & Vannah, were a HUGE help with Remi. They sure could make her smile :)

On Friday, we went to The Detroit Zoo. I had only been once before and of course, it was Remi's fist time...along with her Aunt Chelle, Uncle Scott and cousins, Chandler & Savannah. We had a nice enjoyable day, but we were pooped at the end of the day!

Then, we had our 4th Annual Partin July 4th BBQ. We started out the day by going to the Clawson parade with the Nelson's. Remi wasn't too impressed this year, but just wait until next year!

We BBQ'd with friends and family and the night ended with the Clawson fireworks. It was a great day and we had a blast! Remi slept right through the fireworks, which is amazing to us since her bedroom is at the front of the house and the fireworks are shot off directly across the street! What a trooper! Here are some pics from the day. Side note: her outfit was one of my favorite things...courtesy of Aunt Chelle's sweat shop, she was monogrammed from head to tush :)

We hope everyone had a great 4th...we certainly did!
