Visit to the Queen City

Last week, Remi and I traveled to Charlotte, NC to visit my brother and his family, and my parents came from Bama to join in the fun and see three grandchildren at once. They hadn't seen Remi since late May, so they were surprised at how much she had changed!!!

It was Remi's first flight and she did GREAT! I was very nervous that I would have "that baby," but she did really well. On the flight down, she didn't even even wimper. On the way back, we were stuck on the tarmac a little so the flight was a longer and she started to get a little cranky in the middle of the flight. There were other babies having WAYYYY more difficulties, so Remi's wimpering was nothing compared to the competition! :)

While we were there, I barely changed a diaper or fed a bottle as my neice and nephew, Anna Grace (8) and Luke (5) took care of Remi from the time she woke up until time for her bedtime bottle at night. They were in love!!! :)

Here are some pics from our trip. Thanks Uncle Bo, Aunt Kim, Anna Grace and Luke for a WONDERFUL visit in NC! Can't wait until we all convene at my parents house in AL in October.

Good Friends R Hard 2 Find

Good friends are hard to find, unless your mom & dad establish a BFF for you before you're born! That's what we did with Remi & Audrey :) They may not know it yet, but they are BFFs...for now! This is a pic from this weekend, camping at Groveland Oaks in northern Oakland County.
We've found that it's much easier to camp close to home and we found a real gem in this campground. We camped with the usual suspects...Nelson's, Chrysler's and Evangelista's and we were joined by a group of other friends camping close by. We went up on Thursday night and Randy drove from the campground to work on Friday. We had great weather Friday...RAIN RAIN and more RAIN Saturday and Sunday it was 95+ degrees, so we enjoyed the beach before having to pack up and head home. It was a great weekend!!!

Remi and I head out tomorrow to visit my brother's fam in Charlotte and my mom and dad are going to join us too. We can't wait, although I am a little anxious about Remi's first flight. Hopefully, she's a born traveler like her momma! I've got a bag full of tricks, so check back next week for a full report.

On another front, I'm still job searching. I've applied to SOOOO many jobs, and nothing! But, it is a rough market out there. My mentality - God will provide the opportunity when it's right! Pray for our family during this time.

Full of Smiles & Giggles!

I just had to post this pic. We busted out the jumparoo and she's getting used to the idea...5 minutes at a time, but she does laugh and giggle most of the 5 minutes! :) Not much jumping yet, mostly me bouncing her. Remi is changing so much every single day. She's laughing and talking so much. I love being with her so much...it gives me a front row seat to the greatest show on earth :)
