9 Mos - "Off the Charts!"

We had Remi's 9 mos checkup this morning and she's just perfect!! She's growing and changing so much everyday. Here are her stats:

*22 lbs. 4.5 oz - 95th percentile for weight
*30 inches long - 97th percentile for height, as my pediatrician stated she's "off the charts" for height!
*on the verge of crawling, but LOVES to roll across the room
*feeding herself snacks, but mommy & daddy are still in charge of bfast, lunch & dinner
*loves "puffs" and biter biscuits
*gets very excited at the sight of her bottle and now holds it 100% on her own
*the sippy cup is VERY cool! she drinks what she wants to quench her thirst then spits all other sips out on her bib
*still LOVES to jump and enjoys her new Jenny Jump Up...the days of the jumparoo are slowly coming to a close :(

Remi still thinks that Buck is THE BEST! She looks for him when you say his name and loves watching him do anything, especially eat. When Remi's snacking lately, Buck knows if he sits close he gets anything that hits the floor. It's pretty cute! Remi also thinks it's fun to touch his nose and she likes to feed him treats too!! We swear that she repeated us two weeks ago and said "HI BUCK!" Of course, we've been trying to get a repeat performance since and nothing!

Remi & I head out to Chicago tomorrow to visit my cousin and her family. We are taking the train and I'm very excited. It's about a six hour trip, so I've got a backpack full of toys and treats for the ride to occupy Miss Remi Roo. Look for pics next week of our Chicago adventure!

Adorable Leila Kay!

Remi and I went to visit new addition, Leila Kay Scholl, yesterday. She is not so much a newbie anymore as she just celebrated her 3 month birthday on Thursday! Her mommy, Daniela, was my very first friend when I moved to Detroit 10 years ago. We actually shared an office as we entered the career world. Man, we thought we were something else back then!! And the stories we could tell about this sweet Southern Belle moving to the melting pot of the world...HA-larious!

Remi seemed so big compared to little Leila. I kept having flashbacks to when Remi was so small. WOW! How quickly they change!! It gave me the fever for a teeny tiny baby again....only for a second though! :)

Leila is just precious and her lovely locks are something to be jealous of for sure. And, she looks just like her mommy, simply beautiful!

Introducing Leila Kay Scholl...one of life's little blessings!

Splish! Splash!

Remi started swim lessons last week and we will continue them for the next 8 weeks. She LOVED it!!! She's a natural swimmer...so far :) We joined the class with two of the friends we've met through our Beaumont Parenting Program and the kids all seem to really enjoy being in the water. Remi smiled and giggled forever and mom just enjoyed seeing her so happy!!!!

Here are some pics...
