Trick or Treat...Smell My Feet...
Halloween was a fun-packed 2-day event for us this year. We started on Sunday evening with the Clawson Trick or Treat Trail at the park. Always a great event put on by our little city. By the end, Remi was falling asleep on Randy's shoulders saying, "Mommy, I'm sleepy! I wanna go home!" Then on Halloween, we had her class Halloween party at school, then off to the Zeller's for their annual festivities.
Trick or Treating was very exciting this year!! Little Red Riding Hood was full of energy, moving door-to-door yelling "more houses!" after every trick or treat. She LOVED it, and we LOVED seeing her little face light up as she ran from house to house. \
Since the day she found out that she was going to be Red Riding Hood, she asked me who was going to be the Big Bad Wolf. So...I decided that I would play the part of the Big Bad Wolf, disguised as Grandma, but of course. Most people thought I was a cat, but at least Remi knew who I was :) That's all that mattered in my eyes!
Happy Halloween to you all!

Pumpkin Carving
I LOVE this time of year - my fav! and was so excited to invite everyone over Saturday for our first pumpkin carving party and chili cookoff. Time got away from us and not everyone carved their pumpkins, but the kiddos had a wonderful time playing in the leaves, jumping in the bounce house and painting their pumpkins. It was a rainy cold morning, and then the sun came out just in time for our craft....{insert very happy momma!}
Overall - a wonderful start to our Halloween weekend!

Our lil pumpkin
We had planned for over a month to go to the pumpkin patch today. Of course, it was rainy and yucky this morning, but I was not giving up hope! At noon - I saw the sun, and we packed up and were out the door! Even though Randy has pneumonia and Remi has a bit of a cold...we were on a mission as October if speeding by and we needed our pumpkins. :) I'm persistent...what can I say.
So, we arrived to Westview Orchards and to our surprise, it wasn't crowded at all and turned out to be a perfect day to head to the pumpkin patch. We played around a while...had some doughnuts and cider, then headed to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time with our lil pumpkin, who is quite the entertainer these days. She's SUPER silly and always makes us laugh.
Looking forward to carving pumpkins, Remi's Harvest Party at school and Halloween. She's been practicing "Trick or Treat" and is ready for the big night :) Happy fall y'all!
